Obituary of Jane P. Rogers

Jane P. Rogers, age 73 of Dacula, Georgia and formerly of Fort Walton Beach, FL died Saturday, February 19, 2005 after a prolonged battle with emphysema. Funeral service was held Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tom Ham officiated. Interment was held on Monday, February 28, 2005 at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC. The Family received friends on Saturday, February 26, 2005 From 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her Husband USAF Major Charles Edward "Bud" Rogers. Major Rogers was a Pilot with the US Air force and was killed in action over Laos on May 4, 1967. Mrs. Rogers was also preceded in death by her natural parents, Ada Schultz and Virgil Potts and her adopted parents William and Letha Perry. Surviving are: Daughter and Son In-law Kimberly and Terry Hunter, Winter Springs, FL, Sons and Daughters In-law, Kevin and Ella Rogers, Fort Walton Beach, FL Kerry and Kristie Rogers, Dacula, GA. Grandchildren, Kathrine Hunter, Travis Hunter, Danielle and Phillip Maddox, Bud Rogers, Chris, Rogers, Emily Jane Rogers and Noah Hunter Rogers. Great Grandchild, Milo Maddox. Several Nieces and Nephews. Mrs. Rogers was looking forward to the birth of her eight grandchild in April 2005. Mrs. Rogers was born in Chicago, IL and attended Butler University where she met her Husband Bud. She lived in Fort Walton Beach, FL for many years after her husband died. She moved to Dacula, GA in 1993 to live with her son Kerry. Mrs. Rogers will be remembered for her love of fast cars, her quick wit, love for reading and her fabulous hats. She will be missed by all her friends and family. She has gone to be with her Lord and Savior. God bless you Mom, you will be missed.
