Obituary of Jesse L. Garrett

Mr. Jesse Garrett, age 83, of Buford, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2000. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, September 2, 2000 at 2:00pm at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tom Burdett and Rev. Danny Smith officiated. Interment followed at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford. Visitation for Mr. Garrett was held Friday from 11am -2pm and 6pm-9pm at the Funeral Home. Mr. Garrett was a native of Gwinnett County, Georgia and was a retired Purchasing Agent for the Bona Allen Tannery in Buford. He was a Navy veteran of WW II, a member of the First Baptist Church in Buford and a member of Buford Masonic Lodge #292. Mr. Garret loved playing music and was a member of the Flamingo Band. Surviving are his wife, Louise W. Garrett, Buford; Daughter, Anita Garrett, Buford; Grandson, Lehn Garrett, Buford; Granddaughter, Dana Pruitt, Doraville; Great grandson, Cory Lehn Garrett, Doraville; Sister in Laws, Viola Helton, Cleveland, Marjorie Trammell, Lilburn and Jessie Black, Auburn; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins also survive.
