Obituary of Jerry Jerome Lord

Jerry Jerome Lord, age 63 of Lawrenceville, died of complications from a massive heart attack on Monday, November 22, 2004. Funeral Service was held on Friday, November 26, 2004 at 3:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jerry Cline and Rev. Jimmy Greer officiated. Interment followed at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford. The Family received friends on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. At the request of Jerry's family there was no visitation on Thursday in honor of Thanksgiving Day. Jerry devoted his life to God and doing Gods work through his local church, Yellow River Baptist Church and to the support of foreign mission work. In lieu of flowers, Jerry's wish was for any contributions or memorials be made to Yellow River Baptist Church, 3650 Five Forks Trickum Road, Lilburn, GA 30047 or to Good Samaritan Baptist Mission, P. O. Box 430, Villa Rica, GA 30180. Jerry was preceded in death by his infant daughter Danita Kaye Lord and his grandson Dustin David Lord. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Banks Lord, who loved and adored Jerry for their 46 years of marriage and companionship. Jerry is survived by his three children that loved him everyday of their lives: Son and daughter-in-law: David and Tracy Lord of Buford; Daughters and Son-in-laws: Debbie and Donny Elder of Buford and Dana and Marty Schaub of Lawrenceville and Jerry's loving dog, Bichon Bouncer. Jerry has nine grandchildren that adored their Papa, Hillary Lord of Buford, Kristin, Jordan and Kacey Smucker, Jason and Josh Elder all of Buford, Jonathan Litsky, Bailey and Tyler Schaub all of Lawrenceville. Jerry had 2 great-grandchildren, Dustin Patrick Ridenour and Caleb Wayne Bekebrede both of Buford. Also surviving is Jerry's Father, J.P. Lord of Buford; Sisters and Brother-in-laws: Charlotte and Kenneth Allen of Buford, Cindy and Keith Pass of Flowery Branch and Brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Darleena Lord of Hoschton. Jerry lived his entire life in the Buford/Lawrenceville area and was a well-known and respected business owner in Buford.
