Obituary of Edith Howington Brown

Edith Howington Brown, age 75, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 16, 2000 after an extended illness. Funeral Services were held at 11:00am at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel with Reverend Charles Gilliliand officiating. The interment followed at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The visitation was held on Thursday evening from 6-9pm at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was a native of Gwinnett County, Georgia and was a retired hairstylist. She was a loving mother, wife and friend, marrying her husband, Clifton H. Brown, on January 28, 1946. Survivors include husband, Clifton H. "Bud" Brown, Cumming; Son and Daughter in Law, Richard and Marian Brown, Columbia, TN; Sisters, Alver Minkwitz, Freeport, Long Island, Arlene Puckett, Buford, Claudia Stephens, Cumming, Bobbie Brackett, Buford; Sisters in law and brother in law, Geneva Koopmans, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Joe and Earlene Kennedy, Buford; Matt and Ashley, grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
