Obituary of Louise Tolan Brown

Louise Tolan Brown, age 86 of McComb, Mississippi, formerly of Buford, died Friday, November 21, 2003. A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dan Bremer officiated. Interment followed in Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family received friends on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by brother John Lester Stowe, Jr. Surviving are: Husband, Rev. J.C. Brown, McComb, MS; Sons and Daughters In-law, Kenneth and Marie Tolan, Buford, Richard and Sheila Tolan, Flowery Branch; Daughter and Son In-law, Jane and Arvid Johnson, Clearmont, FL; Step Daughters and Sons In-law, Donnice and Joe Mills, Auburn, Frances and Pat Shields, Irving, TX; Sisters, Mary Knight, Buford, Rushia Highfield, Gainesville, Estelle McIlhenny, Gainesville, Clarice Lord, Mayesville; Sister and Brother In-law, Evelyn and Mac McNeal, Buford. A host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Brown was a former member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church and a member of Open Door Baptist Church in McComb MS. She was known for her ability to bake and decorate cakes and for having a servants heart.
