Obituary of Montine R. Gardner

Montine R. Gardner, age 94 of Buford, GA died Saturday, November 1, 2003 following a brief illness. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church Buford, with remains to lie in state from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the church. Rev. G. Stehpen Wood and Rev. Charles Gilliland will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery, Gainesville, GA. The Family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and Monday from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. and 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Flowers accepted or contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Buford Building Fund or the Georgia Baptist Childrens Home. Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband H. Weldon Gardner and son, Bobby Ray Gardner. She is survived by her Grandchildren, Vicki and Robert Moulder, Buford, Sherry and Gary Parker, Buford; Great Grandchildren, Jay and Dorothy Fox, Buford, Becky and Todd Garrett, Buford, Bobby Parker and Lucas Parker, Buford; Great-Great Grandchildren, Joshua, Justin and Kameron Garrett, Buford, Adam Weldon Fox, Buford; Sister, Anna Lou Rowe, Gainesville, FL. Mrs. Gardner was a native of Jackson Co., GA and had lived most of her life in the Buford area. She was a retired telephone operator from Southern Bell and a member of First Baptist Church Buford where she was a faithful member of the Daisy Shadburn/Bykota Sunday School Class. She also had taught Sunday School and was an active member of the W.M.U.
