Obituary of Bonnie J. Maddox

Bonnie J. Maddox, 78, of Buford, died Friday, January 1, 1999. Mr. Maddox was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where he served as Deacon Emeritus. He was employed at Chicopee Manufacturing for 30 years and the Gwinnett County Water Department for 10 years. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Jan. 4, from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Gilliland and the Rev. Paul Wade officiating. Burial was at Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 3390 South Puckett Road, Buford, Ga. 30519. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Evelyn H. Maddox; children, Rita and Billy Bennett of Buford, Ray and Cheryle Maddox of Hoschton, Sandra and Harry Wilson of Buford, Nancy and Stanley Pugh of Buford, Carey and Nell Maddox of Flowery Branch, Ted and Janice Maddox of Winder, Mickey and Karen Maddox of Buford and Jeff and Becky Maddox of Flowery Branch; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Vera Mitchell of Buford, and several nieces and nephews. Carter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
