Obituary of Deborah Lynn Lamb Hughes

Deborah Lynn Lamb Hughes, of Dacula, Georgia, died Sunday, July 13, 2003. She was 44 years old. Debbie was born January 3, 1959 at Hall County Hospital and married Kenneth Darwin Hughes of Gainesville on August 10, 1980. She attended Enota Elementary School, Fair Street and Gainesville Middle School. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1977.
While in high school she was charter president of the Thespian Society and charter Flag Corps Captain. She also played the flute in the high school band and held parts in the class play for three years. She attended Georgia Southern College and North Georgia College. She owned and operated TanFastic in downtown Gainesville in the mid-eighties and worked at B & B Travel for a few years before joining American Express Travel in 1989.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, their two daughters: Jessica Lauren and Dorothy Nicole (Dori) of Dacula; her parents Jim and Dorothy Lamb of Flowery Branch; a brother, Jim Lamb of Flowery Branch; Sisters, Mary Discher of Lakeville, Minn. and Cindy Garrison of Wilsonville, OR.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, 3950 Hog Mountain-Braselton Road in Dacula. A memorial service followed. Memorial contributions can be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 224523, Dallas, Texas 75222.
