Obituary of Glen J. Manning

Glen J. Manning, age 78 of Canon, Georgia died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 after an extended illness. A funeral service was held Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Denny Spear officiated. Interment followed at North Atlanta Memorial Park. The family received friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Surviving are Wife, Dean Manning, Canon; Daughter and Son In-law, Glenda and Irvin Dutton, Hoschton; Son, Neil Manning, Canon; 5 Grandchildren,4 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Mozell Gresham, Smyrna; Sister and Brother In-law, Bernice and Raymond Johnson, Norcross; Several Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Manning was a native of Dekalb County and a Veteran of the Coast Guard. He was a charter member of Dunwoody Baptist Church and retired from General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville. Mr. Manning was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard.
