Rosa Lily Rodriguez Alvarez Vda. de Flores, age 82, of Gainesville, Georgia, died Sunday afternoon, April 30, 2017 in Woodstock, Georgia surrounded by her closest family members. Rosa Lily was born on November 9, 1934 in Mollendo, Arequipa, Peru. She was the beloved daughter of Emma Alvarez and Alberto Rodriguez of Arequipa, Peru. She was the oldest of four siblings; Haydee Rodriguez de Alvarado, Jenny Rodriguez and Isabel Rodriguez, deceased. Rosa Lily was the widow of Dr. Raul Flores Bellido, deceased. Rosa Lily was a high school teacher in Lima, Peru until the time she retired in 1990. She enjoyed Flamenco dancing and playing Castanets for her family and friends in her spare time. She loved music, dancing and spending time with her family. Rosa Lily joined her family in the United States in 1991; she proudly became a United States Citizen on September 23, 1999. She is survived by her loving children, Rocio Del Milagro Woody of Atlanta, Georgia; Lily Ana Green of Dacula, Georgia; Giovanni Raul Flores of Flowery Branch, Georgia; Guianina Sheridan of Marietta, Georgia and David Josue Flores of Gainesville, Georgia; along with twelve grandchildren, Thomas Woody, Kirk Green, Rachel Green, Chris Flores, Danny Flores, Adriana Flores, Ashley Sheridan, Matthew Sheridan, Sarah Sheridan, Jana Flores, Josie Flores and Jake Flores, and one great grandson, Donovan Woody. A funeral service for Rosa Lily Flores will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens at 3481 Hamilton Mill Rd. Buford, GA 30519. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday May 6, 2017 at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens.
