I am very sorry for your loss. I would like to share a scripture that I hope brings your family some comfort. "There is going to be a resurrection." -Acts 24:15. By means of the resurrection, God has opened up the priceless opportunity for millions of people who have passed away to come back from the dead and enjoy eternal life.

As we have shared life for almost 30 years together, I, too, share your loss and joy that your mom is now healthy, whole, and with others who has journeyed before her. Yet, it is a void in your life, especially, as you have so wonderfully, lovingly cared for her during these years since your father passed ... and specifically during these hard final years, months, weeks, and days when she was so ill and needed constant support. Know that God and all who know you are well aware of the incredible sacrifice, love and care you gave her. She was so blessed to have you as her "daughter angel." For me, your mom's greatest gift is YOU in my life!
I love you, dear sister!

It is so very sad to lose such a beautiful lady. Jo was one in a million-intelligent, loving, caring, considerate, outstanding teacher, and such a dear friend to so many.
I got to know her through Alpha Delta Kappa.
She was such a vital leader in our Beta Kappa Chapter for many years as we met at her home for many of our meetings and took part in many projects.
She will be missed so much by all who had the privilege of knowing her and calling her friend and loved one!
My deepest sympathy to all of her family members who she loved so much and took pride in all of their accomplishments that she shared with us from time to time.

I am deeply saddened at the death of my friend Jo. She was my supervising teacher while I was a student teacher and then my department chair when I joined the Parkview teaching staff. While she guided me in the technical skills and organization of teaching, more importantly Jo taught me how to be a compassionate and kind teacher. Her influence stayed with me throughout my education career and continues in my personal life. I greatly appreciate her friendship and mentoring. I am so thankful I was able to visit Jo in June. We had such a wonderful visit and her humor and kind words reminded me why I love her so much. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I taught with Jo in the Social Studies Department at Parkview High School 30 years ago when I was a brand new teacher. Jo was a mentor to me and helped me to get my footing as I started out. I was thinking of Jo recently, and hoped that I can be of as much help and encouragement to new teachers as Jo was to me. My heartfelt condolence to all of Jo's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

I just learned that Jo passed on Tuesday. I am so sad about this. I have not seen Jo, since she moved from Hartwell. She and I became friends and traveled together to Alpha Delta Kappa functions, as soon as she moved to Lake Hartwell.
She loved her family and spoke about you all frequently. She was a fine Christian lady. It was a privilege to know Jo. You have my sincere sympathy.
Love and prayers,
Emily Gunnells

I am heartbroken tonight as I have just learned of Jo's passing. When you say the word amazing, you describe Jo. She always put others first. As Department Chair at Parkview, she became my very wise mentor. She took on an overzealous, overachiever who loved life and helped shape me into the educator I am. Jo will be missed so much!

Aunt Jo,
So sorry to see you leave this world, but so happy you had been feeling so well in the last few weeks. You ARE and will always be a wonderful mother, wife and aunt. An example to all that you touched. I have such wonderful memories of my childhood that you and Uncle Ellis and your kids were a part of: from visiting Uncle Carl's at the cabin in Virginia, Temple Terrace, shrimping an fishing at Satellite Beach, picking scuppernongs at Lake Hartwell. .. and if memory serves...watching Apollo 11 take off in your yard in July, 1969.
You will be missed, you will be loved and you will be remembered forever!
Love
Tammie and Family

I want to offer my condolences to the Clifton family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death, regardless of how long they have lived. Even Jesus wept when Lazarus died(John 11:35). Our heavenly Father of tender mercies calls death an enemy that He will take away forever__1 Corinthians 15:26 “The last enemy will be brought to nothing”; Isaiah 25:8. Notice the beautiful promise he has given to bring our love ones in the memorial tombs back to life__ Isaiah 26:19 “Your dead will rise ...Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust! ...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." What a joy it will be to see our love ones again and enjoy them forever free from all pain and suffering (Revelation 21:4.)I hope these words give all of you comfort and hope.
