The death of a loved one is difficult. Its times like this where we can turn to God's promises for comfort. The scripture at Rev 21: 3, 4 says God will wipe out every tear and death will be no more. We have every reason to believe God's promises. May these scriptures give you comfort.

THIS ADDENDUM to my earlier condolences is hereby sent for the record in this case:
***************************
After hearing Rev. Dr. Valentin Popovici's public eulogy in the Gwinett Romanian Baptist church where Mrs. Hortensia Popovici was a member, I therefore join Rev. Dr. Valentin Popovici in acknowledging that Mrs. Hortensia Popovici was wife of a great pastor, and in addition I would add that she was wife of a Romanian premier baptist pastor--a pastor as NO OTHER before him or after! These premier pastors are born one in 500 years in East Europe, given that this premier pastor Rev. Pitt Popovici had to endure terrible official oppression and harassment at the hands of communist-dictatorship agents in the 1960s. He impacted my life as no other Romanian pastor, and some years later after reflecting about his abuses he endured at the hands of the Romanian communist-dictatorship officials, I decided to go to the law school and learn over 23 areas of federal law--an incredible life's feat that a few lawyers can accomplish in this life! That's how powerful was my determination to learn to strike back at powerful officials (in federal courts) which abuse their power and render their petitioners' rights a nullity! Yes, this premier pastor Pitt Popovici and his wife Hortensia were our spiritual parents to so many Romanian baptists in America and in Romania!
I was their neighbor for a few years in Timisoara (two houses apart), and I was personally acquainted with the Popovici family in Romania, and in California. I even visited him at his residence, and he visited me and my wife at our residence in California in 1975-6. He was an awesome, always young-at heart and spiritually-flaming speaker at his pulpit, as no other Romanian pastor! I was so impressed that Hortensia backed him up with incredible devotion and loyalty--as a wife of a great Romanian pastor would do. In these times of terrible loss of his loyal wife Hortensia, I join tens of thousands of Romanian baptists in Romania and in America in offering our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to Rev. Pitt Popovici. May God Almighty give him abundant peace of mind to overcome the loss of his dear wife, Hortensia!

SINCERE CONDOLENCES to the loyal and brave husband Rev. Pitt Popovici, for his spiritual lasting public service rendered to the Romanian community in USA and in Romania! May the Lord Jesus comfort Rev. Pitt Popovici and Angela--these wonderful and dedicated Christians who attended to Hortensia's personal and general needs in this life! They were such a wonderful Romanian family!

I want to offer my condolences to the Popovici family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death__ regardless of how long they have lived. Death is so painful that even Jesus, when Lazarus died, "gave way to tears"(John 11: 35). Our heavenly Father of tender mercies calls death an enemy and will be taken away forever (1 Corinthians 15:26; Isaiah 25:8). Notice the promise he has given to awaken our love one from asleep in death in the near future. __Hosea 13:14 “From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them.” What a joy it will be to see our love ones again and enjoy them forever free from all pain and suffering (Revelation 21:4). I hope these words give all of you comfort.
