Obituary of John Wesley McNease

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, for John Wesley McNease, 78, of Columbia, who passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017 in Buford, Georgia. Interment will be in Society Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hathorn Funeral Home. As a lifetime resident of Marion County, Mr. John was a retired oil field worker. He owned a trucking company, and his passion was driving a truck. He loved fishing and striking up conversation with anyone that would listen. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Mr. John was preceded in death by his Wife of 55 years, Ruby Nell McNease; his Parents, R.D. & Johnnie McNease; two Sons, John Dewayne McNease, Jimmy Dale McNease; three Brothers, Pete McNease, Hubert McNease, Billy McNease; and one Sister, Ollie May Robbins. He is survived by his Son, Gary McNease (Sandra), Buford, Georgia; one Brother, Joe McNease (Ollie), Columbia; one Sister, Shirley Dyess (Sonny), Columbia; four Grandchildren, Zackary McNease, Wiggins, Tyler Taggert, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Tanya Hartsell (Jeremy), Buford, Georgia, Joni Bivens (Drew), Buford, Georgia; and three Great Grandchildren, Ziva McNease, Buford, Georgia, Dany Hartsell, Buford, Georgia, Eden Bivens, Buford, Georgia.
