Obituary of RC Millwood

R.C. Millwood, age 89, of Conyers, GA, formerly of Buford, GA, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017. The Family will receive friends Friday evening, August 25, 2017, from 6-8 PM at their residence in Conyers and Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 1:30-3:00 PM at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ed Salter will officiate. R.C. was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Millwood; daughter, Joy Millwood Marsh; brothers, Donald Millwood and Everett Millwood. He is survived by his daughter, Jill Finney Hall and husband Vance, Conyers, GA; grandchildren, Meghan Usry and husband Luke, Byron, GA, Kellan Finney, Conyers, GA; sister in-law, Anne Millwood, Homer, GA; several nieces and nephews. R.C. was born and resided in Buford, GA until he moved to Conyers in 1997 to be near his family. He retired as Master Sergeant from the US Army Reserve and then retired as shop manager from Refrigerated Transport. R.C. was a former member and Deacon at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Buford and was currently a member of First Baptist Church Covington.
