Lynn's passion for Jesus, people, missions, teaching, singing in the choir, and life in general was inspiring and contagious. He was so genuine and down-to-earth, and so diligent as a deacon, inspiring and challenging the rest of us by his actions. He is at home, but he will be missed! Our hearts ache for you as you go through this time of loss. I cannot imagine what you are going through right now. We pray that God's strength, peace, and comfort will carry you as you go through this time. Lynn was such an amazing person, his laugh and smile were infectious. Heaven gained a mighty angel when they received him, he will be greatly missed. As one of Lynn's Sons of Jubal brothers, I am most grateful for the truth of God's word about which we sing. When I heard of his unexpected graduation from this life, the lyrics we sing in Keith Getty and Stuart Townend's In Christ Alone instantly came to mind. I pray that each of Lynn's loved ones will know the power of Christ in which he stood. "No guilt in life, no fear in death

Words are just not enough to alleviate the ache in your hearts, especially Lynn’s much-loved Beth. You have lost something very precious. Lynn and I never met in person but he was like a brother to me. We spent so much time on the phone together during the years we worked together and a bond grew that created so much love and respect for what an exceptional person Lynn was. His love for House, home, wife, family and his love and respect for our sweet Jesus and belief in God almighty and life everlasting made a fine man a Godly special man. He will live on in your thoughts and memories of all he represented, his unique humor and huge huge heart.
Prayers Beth for you, those much-loved girls and all who loved this special man because he will be sorely missed. But, as he resides in the house of our Lord, know that he will still be right there with you in a whisper of air on a cheek or ear; or when the nights are dark and the lights lay low and you sense a presence. He’s only out of touch but not out of reach.

Beth, and family;
My regret is that I have to write now, instead of telling Lynn, what an impact he made on me in my short membership at Ivy Creek. As a fellow teacher he was always there to offer encouragement, and support as we began the new Class, and seeing him in the choir each Sunday, as in all of the many things he did for God thru his Church, made me see each week, a true mentor in the faith, and Leader in every way. I can only hope I can try to be more like Lynn and please my lord like he did.
May God be close to you as always, and know all your Ivy Creek family are there for you.

At a time like this, words are not easily found. It all happened so quickly. Beth we know you are faced with many challenges in the years ahead. Please know that we are here to help and be your shoulder to cry on when needed. By the strength of our Heavenly Father we will get through this. Eight years ago, you and Lynn asked us to be the girls Memaw and Pops. We have tried our best and would love to continue this blessing. Beth I feel you are more of a sister to me than my own sisters. We have been down some rocky roads and we have had so much fun together at other times. I love you my sister and look forward to seeing where God will take us next.

Dear Beth, Isabella, and Anna Grace,
