Carolyn was such a beautiful person both inside and out. She was always my "go to" friend when I was sad, frustrated, or just needed to vent. She would quietly listen and then get me back on track. She taught me many valuable lessons, the most important being not to judge someone until you have walked in their shoes. I also remember a few years ago when I did the 3 day breast cancer walk. Carolyn asked me to wear her breast cancer survivor pin. I was so honored and proud to wear it for her. She may not have won this battle but she definitely won a place in my heart. Having her in my life has made me a better person and for that I will be forever grateful. As I sit on the back porch having a glass of wine she is with me in spirit. A toast to you my friend. Deepest condolences to John, Nadine, Scott, and the rest of the family. Love you all, Mary Broussard

I remember Carolyn as a devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmother. She was a supportive person, and family was her number one priority. Our fun-loving cousin was quite the conversationalist, and not shy to express her opinions (this I fondly recollect as we celebrated the "fruit of the vine"). Best of all, Carolyn's outgoing personality, and fun-loving spirit was like a ray of sunshine that brightened a room with her lovely smile. No doubt, she will be missed by all who knew her.
