I was shocked and saddened to hear about Stephen's passing. I worked with Stephen professionally on many opportunities over the last 5-6 years. Some we won, some we lost. He was always a gentleman and a consummate professional. Stephen said what he meant, and meant what he said. God Bless you and your family always.

Each and every member of your family has been and continues to be a positive in my life. Stephen, of course, was no exception. I pray in a thankful manner that he is free from the war he bravely waged. As a casualty of the very same war he waged for years, I pray for and stand steadfastly by every one of you he had to leave behind. Don't for a moment let this change who you have always been as you grieve the loss of his light. It wasn't too long ago that I was looking at a registry of those who supported our family after the death of my older sister, Lisa. Believe me, I was far too young to remember it all, but I remember Mrs. Miriam's signature in that book (I'm sure Mr. Jack watched as she signed). Years later, when I understood, It meant the world to me. I'm old enough today to understand what you have all lost. I include myself. Stephen was always someone I counted as a friend even if we didn't go to the same school. Stephen was someone you'd have to try NOT to be a friend of. I hope you look back one day and read these words and understand how much I appreciate and care about every member of your phenomenal family. Every last one of you has brightened my life in some way. Stephen included. He just has more important things to do at the moment. You are a unique family, in the fact that every one of you has, at some point, lifted me up. That thought bore repeating. I appreciate every last thing every one of you has ever done to help make my life a little easier. Particularly the day you helped my parents in their loss. A day I'll never remember, but one I'm glad I got to appreciate. I wish my parents never had to face that. It's clear you felt the same way. The exact sentiment I extend to all of you this very moment. God bless every one of you for son, brother, husband, father, and friend you shared with this world we all share.

Jenelle and sons .. I was so saddened when I heard of Stephens illness. And no the learn of his passing I am especially saddened for you and your two sons. Like you I believe Stephen is no longer in pain and in the presence of our Lord and Saviour, but he leaves a huge hole here on earth.
