Obituary of Santiago Velez Rodriguez

Santiago Velez, age 23 of Lawrenceville, GA, died suddenly Monday, June 24, 2019. Funeral service will be held Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 4 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Luis Valencia will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 2-4 PM at the funeral home.

Santiago is survived by his mother, Claudia P. Rodriguez, Lawrenceville; father, Cesar Velez, Cali, Colombia; brothers, Cesar David Velez Rodriguez, Alejandro Velez Rodriguez, and Juan Sebastian Velez Rodriguez all of Lawrenceville; niece, Genesis Velez Onate, Lawrenceville.

Santiago was born in Cali, Colombia and had lived in the metro Atlanta area for 20 years. He worked as an insurance adjuster with Custard Insurance Adjuster.

Santiago was a shining star in a confusing world.

He worked every day to prove that:

Every failure makes you stronger, and

Everyone can live a life full of joy, family, and purpose.
