Obituary of Margie Essex

Marjory A. “Margie” Essex, age 69 of Clarkesville, GA, died Friday, June 28, 2019 after an unexpected sudden illness. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 5, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Essex will be cremated following the service. The family will receive friends Friday, July 5, 2019 from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Georgia or Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in memory of Margie Essex. Margie was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Essex. She is survived by her husband, Tom Essex, Clarkesville, GA; son, Mark Essex (Tonya), Bethlehem, GA; grandchildren, Destiny Essex, Allie Essex, David Essex, Danielle Essex, Abbie Essex, Austin Essex; sisters and brothers, Marsha Griner, Savannah, GA, Larry Foskey, Toccoa, GA, Patricia Baker (Shelly), Mt Airy, GA, Janice Yarborough (Sonny), Savannah, GA, Terry Foskey (Joni), Savannah, GA. Margie was born in Savannah, GA and lived in Gwinnett County from 1980 – 2004 and then moved to Clarkesville, GA.
