James Cecil Wallace, Sr., age 86 of Buford, GA, entered his heavenly home Thursday, July 11, 2019. Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 4:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Wayne Johnson and Pastor Earl Pirkle will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 4 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Flowers accepted or contributions can be made to the Mission Program at First Baptist Church Buford in memory of Cecil. Cecil is survived by his wife, Evelyn Wallace, Buford; children, Vickylee Ivey and husband Howard, Braselton, Jim Wallace and wife Becky, Buford, Ken Wallace and wife Allison, Buford, John Wallace and wife Pam, Buford; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Chris and Belinda Ivey, Shawn; Keith Ivey, Connor and Cassidy; Brandon and Katy Hastings, Addison and Masley; Bridget and Joel Cobb, Tanner, Ella, Eden; Jennifer and Ben Poole, Harrison; Lindsey and Richard Compton, Jude, Eli, and Naomi; Amanda Thomasson, Matthew, Abigail and Savannah; Taylor Wallace; brother, Franklin Wallace and wife Mary; nephews, Troy Kruger, Lance Kruger. Cecil was born in Flowery Branch, GA and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was baptized on March 11, 2017 and a member of First Baptist Church Buford. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 225. Cecil was deeply devoted to his wife and family. He was diligent and proud of his work; and avid farmer and could fix and build anything he put his mind to. He found great pleasure working on his farm and taking care of his animals.
