I knew Joe through work at the hospital in Gainesville. He was always helpful and a positive spirit. A man of integrity and character, he loved studying history. My own history was richer for knowing him. Pam, you chose well.

We have only known Pam and Joe for a short time but have grown to love our neighbors.
Joe and Pam went through difficult times with this illness. He is now pain free and with the Lord.

Joe was always upbeat and cheerful. He was so helpful and kind, even when we were extremely busy and stress levels were high. If I was ever looking for a piece of equipment or had a question about where to find something, I knew Joe would have the answer. And he did! Joe was a great guy. We've missed him here at TG/Baker for a long time. May your love and memories help you through this difficult time.

Joe, we mourn your loss. You have been a standard-bearer for doing what is right and treating all people as friends. You were a loving husband and a committed step-father for the children we share. I know of nobody who I would rather work in concert with raising the wonderful girls who make us proud fathers. You were taken far too soon, but your quiet leadership will live on. I had the pleasure of working with Joe at TG for 16 years. During that time he and I became good friends enjoying each other’s company taking mini vacations to Vancouver BC. Joe was one a of a kind meaning he had an innocent nature that accepted everyone for who they were. I lost track of him over the years but reconnected a few months back and was pleased to find that he hadn’t changed......R.I.P my brotha!

I have so many stories to share but It is hard to pick one. Over the 38 years I have been able to call him friend I can never remember Joe saying a harsh work to me and lord knows I deserved it sometimes as I loved to tease him. I think we should all read a history book or watch a history movie in Joe's honor. I will miss him.
