Obituary of Johnnie Parker

Johnnie Henry Parker, age 91 of Winder, GA, died Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 20, 2019 at 2 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Dr. E. R. Healan will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, September 20, 2019 from 12-2 PM at the funeral home. Flowers accepted or the family request contributions be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Johnnie. Johnnie was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Parker and grandson, Josh O’Neil. He is survived by his current wife, Peggy Parker, Winder, GA; children, Glenn Parker, Warner Robins, GA, Sharon O’Neil, Gainesville, GA, Linda Santorelli and husband Joe, Kathleen, GA, Don Parker and wife Jackie, Cumming, GA, Donna Boring and husband Estes, Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Zach O’Neil, Logan Parker, Jason Parker, Erin Parker, Alex Parker; great grandchildren, Charlotte O’Neil, Daniel Davila, Cadence O’Neil, Alice Laufer. Johnnie was born in Whaleyville, MD and had lived in the Atlanta area for the past 42 years. He retired to Winder, GA after a long career in the retail industry and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Statham.
