I had the privilege of calling Linda (and Jeff) my friend for over 15 years. With Linda, you always knew exactly where you stood. She was direct, honest, and she made you feel like you never wanted to disappoint her. If you wanted something done, and done well, Linda was the one to lead the way! She was loyal and generous but would not allow anyone to sit idly by when there was work to be done. She was intelligent, serious, and strong willed, but she was also truly compassionate, humble, and thoughtful. And she laughed easily and had a wonderful sense of humor. I have many fond memories of her laughing until her eyes filled with tears!
I think this quote from Erma Bombeck (who I believe was no more funny than Linda) applies to Linda as well: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I have not a single drop of talent left, and I could say ‘I used everything you gave me’.”
I am sure that Linda used every bit of talent she had; as a mother to Ashley, Nathan, and Karen, as a wife and companion to Jeff, as a grandmother, as a friend to those who new her, and as a member of her Church.
Thoughts and prayers of comfort for Jeff and the family!

I loved and admired Linda. When the Braselton Branch was first organized she was called to be the first Relief Society President. My husband, Don, passed away about a week later. Although she was new in her position and new to the area, she helped me by bringing food to my house to feed my relatives after the funeral, most of whom were from from out of town. My friend, Valma Stavron and I were her visiting teachers and we always enjoyed visiting with her. She, along with a number of women from the Church, would meet together for lunch once a month at a local restaurant but we also had pot luck lunches at her home a couple of times. She was fun to be around and had a sense of humor that I loved. I always thought she was so smart. I missed her very much after she moved away.
