Mark Vernon McCarthy, age 60 of Buford, GA died Thursday, April 23, 2015. Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev Danny Newbern will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday April 26, 2015 from 1-2 PM at the funeral home. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Roy McCarthy. He is survived by his wife, Ann McCarthy, Buford. Children, Kristin Rhodes and husband, Jamie, AL, Brianna McCarthy, Gainesville, GA. Grandchildren, Mikel, JJ, Arabella and Tristan. Mother Betty McCarthy, Canton, GA. Brother, Karl McCarthy and wife Rene, Sharpsburg, GA. Sister Cheryl McAdams and husband, Morgan, Canton, GA. Mark was born in Akron, OH and had lived in the Atlanta area the past 26 years. He was a Mentor in the LVAD program at Emory University Hospital.
