Obituary of Johnny Sudderth

Johnny Lawton Sudderth, age 76 of Buford, GA, died Wednesday, March 4, 2020 after an extended illness. Johnny has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 4 PM at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Sugar Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in memory of Johnny. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Lovic Edward and Boncille Sudderth; grandson, Jesse Burnette; sister, Charlotte Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife Marjorie Maddox Sudderth, Buford; children, Duane and Jennifer Sudderth, Flowery Branch, Tannye and David Burnette, Buford, Terry and Tracy Gravitt, Commerce, Donald and Jaime Gravitt, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Heather, Jeni, Megan, Corey, Lawton, Patrick, Paige, Noah, Brooke, DJ, Josephine, Gabe; great grandchildren, Beckham, Maddox, Zara, Bristol, Moxon, Lincoln, Fox, Cierra, Ethan; brothers, Larry and Faye Sudderth, Andrews, NC, Ronny and Dale Sudderth, Cleveland, Jerry and Beth Sudderth, Sugar Hill; sister, Sandra and Joe Lowery, Sugar Hill. Johnny was born in Buford, GA and was a lifelong Buford resident. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, was self-employed in construction and a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
