Obituary of Gayle Puckett

Linda Gayle Puckett, 75, of Buford, Georgia, died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center on March 11, 2020 from complications from kidney failure and cancer. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 16, 2020 at 11 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Danny Newbern will officiate. Interment will follow at North Atlanta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Gayle was born to William T. Donaldson and Lillian Grace Donaldson in Atlanta, Georgia on August 17, 1944.  Gayle is a 1962 graduate of Sandy Springs High School.  She was married to husband, Don Puckett, on January 18, 1964 at Sentell Baptist Church in Sandy Springs, Georgia. She was a lifelong Atlanta resident, raising her three sons in Dunwoody, GA.  In addition to raising and tending to a family, Gayle spent most of her working career managing and tending to the family construction business.  She is affectionately known as Mama Gayle, originally to her and grandchildren and later by all.  Gayle is survived by husband, Leverette Donald Puckett, sons Wendell Scott Puckett, Michael David Puckett (Wendy), and Daniel Shawn Puckett (Kelly),  grandchildren, her pride and joy, Amanda Puckett, David Puckett, Blake Puckett, Allie Puckett, Lindsey Puckett, Brayson Puckett, Gracie Puckett, and Blaise Puckett, brother, Paul Donaldson, and sister, Elizabeth Hunt.
