In the 1980’s I was trying to win a pink Cadillac. Carolyn was my only recruit. We flew to DALLAS fo the big yearly “”SELL-MORE” hoorah! Of course, we both had terrible sales, but we loved parties! I have a great picture of us standing behind Mary Kay’s desk! Neither of us earned a Pink Cadillac but we had fun! Thank you, God, for sending Carolyn into my life.

CAROLINE,
One of my dearest friends! We lived together, traveled together, laughed until we fell over together! There is no one that I have ever been so close to! Thanks to Kathy, we spent two Christmases island hopping in the Virgin Islands! From feeding pigs beer, in a can, to our quest for Mama Wana, to flying by sea plane, snorkeling at Buck Island! We were inseparable for a few years, some of our happiest! I cannot list everything, but we often laughed that we were like Oscar and Felix! I believe I’m Oscar, a little more carefree? And she was Felix, a little fussier! We had quite a ride, my friend. I’ll see you on the other side.

I knew Carolyn when I was much younger. I met her through my step mother, Shirley Cooley. They were best friends and even lived together! Even when they moved, we’d visit Carolyn and her family in Hamilton Mill. I remember having game nights with her daughter and her grandson, Clay. Clay and I were similar in age so it was fun to play with him. I also remember their sweet dog, Charlie. I was in love with him and he loved me. I have a lot of present childhood memories with Carolyn in them, and she will very much be missed. My condolences to the family and friends.

My Mama was the kindest, thoughtful, caring, loving, talented, courageous, wise Woman I have ever known. She always taught me to be kind and respectful to everyone regardless of race, age, or color. She taught me many things. She loved to play the piano and loved her girls all together every year for Christmas time to sing with her as she played. She loved her Grandkids extremely, and always had big meaningful hugs, the tight hugs that you never want to leave. She encouraged me, loved me, and appreciated me and ALL my three sisters. You will be missed Nana, however, we are at peace and glad we have such an awesome Angel looking over us from heaven. You always loved to sing for Jesus, as you mentioned as a young child to me, and now you are with him it's even more angelica. We love you Nana.

To my Beautiful Mother, I Thank God he gave You to be my Mama. You gave me my true loves in life..God,family,nature and music. You showed me there is beauty in the wildflower, or finding"diamonds" in the waters reflection to the stars and moon to the wind and the butterflies..you showed me God is always here and always with us. Thank you for all those years of music lessons so I will always have music in my soul and a song in my heart. Thank you for ALWAYS being there thru the great times and especially the hard times. You are the most nonjudgmental tolerant person ever and Im sure God knew I would need your lesson of patience when I became a Mother. You taught me to be grateful for everything.I will love and honor you forever. Thank you for your totally unconditional love. You are my Angel. I Love You Forever and Always. Jane

I'm sorry to hear of the death of your dear mother/grandmother. I loved our time together at GTA - especially "Fiddler on the Roof". I'm convinced she is even now singing and dancing "up a storm" as she continues to smile down upon us. God bless you all during this difficult time.
