I was at a trade show in New Orleans and asked about David and heard the sad news. He was such a good guy and I loved to hear stories about his love for Georgia Tech and the happiness when he talked about his son. May he rest in peace.

Thirty seven years ago we all met. So many stories. The best was the day I saw you in Hamilton Mill then discovered you married Kim. Two of my good friends from West Ga married and my neighbor. Glad you made the right choice.lol Kim I know you get that private joke. David hope it made you laugh.
Prayers of peace for Kim and Matt

Kim and Matt, I am so sorry for your loss. I am praying for you both and sending peace and comfort. I have such fond memories of David being we were cousins. We grew up a block from each other until I was in high school. Then we moved and were across the street from each other. I stayed with my Aunt Mary and Uncle Dean, David’s Mother and Father, and our Grandmother while my parents worked. We all were very close. Lots of fun and loving times and a few fights cousins have! I bossed him around sometimes too much being 5 years older. But I remember schooling him too! Teaching him to read and write. I truly miss those days. I’d like to say to anyone reading this, spend time with your loved ones. Make the time! Life is short, and I regret not spending as much time with him as I did as a child and teenager. I saw a cardinal Sunday morning on my deck. I found out about his passing Sunday afternoon. I think David stopped by to tell me goodbye.

Dear Mrs. Walton and Matt,
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with David (front desk). He was always very kind to me. Each day when he came in he greeted me with a smile and hello. He will be very missed at GF. Please take comfort in your happy memories and know how much he loved you both (I sat close enough to him to occasionally hear him speak fondly of you both).
Take care,
Eileen Choquette

Walton Family - I am an interior designer in the healthcare field. I worked with Dave for over 30 years. He was forever the upbeat and funny guy. I could ALWAYS count on him for any questions or concerns on a project we would be working on. The only thing that guy struggled with was booking my hotel for showroom visits!! He did not understand my high standards or designer need for "eye candy" accommodations - typical man or salesman haha!! We shared many a laugh about aging parents, changes to our industry, the beach, how to EVER retire and loving our families. He will be missed - love and prayers to you all.

Dear Ms. Walton and Matt Walton,
I had few interactions with the Extended Care Division but when I had a question that required an expert, I always went to David. The last time we talked, he was kind to provide me with answers and share his knowledge of many years. David Walton was a total gentleman, his business acumen was evident in every meeting we had. His personality and leadership will be greatly missed.
May you find solace in God's love and mercy, my solidarity and prayers to you and your family.
