I only recently found out Ken passed. He was such a kind man and we had many conversations while he shopped at Kroger. I learned all about the family. He loved Gary and Kevin and the grandkids so
much...and was so proud of you all. He loved Jean so dearly, and would always tear up when talking about her. Some days he would stop in to pick up a rose to take to the cemetery. It makes me sooo happy to know they are reunited again!! I know he is all smiles now. He used to always tell me, “God’s been good to me”. He knew it, and had great faith! He always ended our chats with “God Bless You!” And I know God Blesses me every day like He did with Ken’s friendship!! I will miss him. Your family is in my prayers!

I was a young and “Green” Postal Inspector in Savannah, GA in the late 1970s. Ken worked with me one week to provide training. More than the training, I got to know a generous, caring and supportive man. Our friendship continued and I have always been grateful for knowing and learning from this good man. Larry Dodson

My heart is heavy for Ken's family and friends, as he will be missed. And my heart rejoices that he has joined the Angels in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ and his dear wife. He told me his wife had a little dog she loved so much, so he enjoyed my stories of my Dozer. I looked forward to seeing him at church on Sundays, as he was always in such a wonderful mood, and had a peace about him, that was encouraging. I pray for comfort for this family, and I thank God for the opportunity to know someone like Ken. Well done, good and faithful servant. In Christ's Love, Nancy Coker

Mr. Hopkins was one of the kindest and most generous men I have ever met. Growing up across the street from him was an absolute privilege. He became more than just our neighbor, instead more of an ‘adoptive’ grandfather, and he was always there to celebrate life with our family. He was the truest definition of sincerity and genuine to the core. He will be immensely missed by our entire family.

My heart is so sad. I met Ken though our church. Every week he shared something awesome about his family and told me that some weeks were Stones and some weeks were Diamonds. He said his week was always a Diamond. My heart, love and prayers goes out to his family. You all were his Diamonds!

We shared a very strong Christian faith together and I am blessed to not only know Ken but to call him my friend.
You will be missed very much Ken.
Rest in peace and rejoice in our Lord.

I have had the pleasure of seeing Ken every 4 months for the last 35 years. He and Jean were patients at my dental office but became so much more than just a patient. He was one of the kindest people I have ever met and certainly touched my life. Our entire office will miss him! If he has a freezer full of those delicious pecan pies please feel free to drop one off at Greene Family Dentistry!

I was so blessed to share a special friendship with Ken. He would often come to the church he loved and ask if we could talk. He honored me with confidences and joys. His love for Gary and Kevin knew no bounds and his love for his grandchildren was so apparent. He loved sharing each of their successes and would have a sweet smile as he talked about them. I recall a couple of times he was a little worried about something and we would hold hands and pray. The last thing I was able to do for my friend was to pray with him and that's a memory I will long recall. Never have I known anyone so in love with his dearly departed wife. I enjoyed looking at the things Jean made and listening to him recall how and when it was done. He was so ready to meet his Lord and join Jean in their heavenly home. Selfishly, I will miss my friend.

Mr. Hopkins was the kindest, most caring man. Being his neighbor for nearly 20 years allowed him to become like another grandfather to me. I have many sweet memories of stories and laughs shared while visiting with him. I am so thankful for the incredible love he showed my family over the years in so many ways. He will be so deeply missed because he was so deeply loved.

My Dad and mom introduced Kenneth and Jean to each other. My dad and Kenneth were very good friends. My dad passed 20 yrs ago but I have kept in touch with Kenneth over the years. He would always tell me about his kids, and grandkids and what was going on in their life. He was very proud of all of them. Kenneth told me we were in his prayers every morning, and he was in ours as well. I am so glad my mom & I got to see him briefly a few weeks ago. He was a special person and will be missed.

Just want to say what a honor and privilege it was to be able to take care of your dad, even though it was for a short time I'll always remember the 1st and last day I got to take care of him.
After he passed away while I was there I thanked God for letting me be the one with him. I wouldn't of wanted it any other way. Love ya'll.

Ken was 90 years old. It would take 90 years to tell his story because he lived life to the fullest.
He loved his family, his Savior, his friends, his job and life in general.. People that met him loved him back.
He and Jean are together again and we will see them when our time comes. Meanwhile, we will miss him and our Sympathy and prayers will be for the family.
