Twyla Starr Keiser

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away at the age of 63 on Thursday, June 25, 2020.  Twyla was born in Mansfield, GA on February 21, 1957 to Harold and Loraine Allen.  She went to school at Piedmont Academy, where she was a basketball player, cheerleader and homecoming queen.

She married Scott Keiser on September 17, 1994.  She was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Lori, and her son-in-law, Josh. Twyla also was a loving grandmother to Ellie and Abbie, who she often showered with shopping bags full of clothes, toys, and all the spoils that come along with being a proud grandmother.

Twyla loved spending time with family and friends, working in her flower beds and yard, caring for her pets, as well as her neighbor’s pets.  She was known by all as a sweet, loyal, and giving friend.  She was always warm and encouraging, a great listener, quick to smile, and offered an endless reserve of attention and kindness to everyone who surrounded her.  Twyla’s favorite employer was EMC Security where she built deep and lasting friendships.  Twyla was strong in her faith and spent countless hours reading the Bible and praying for her loved ones.

Twyla was preceded in death by her father, Harold; her mother, Loraine, and her brother Wayne.  She is survived by her husband, Scott; her daughter, Lori and her husband, Josh; her granddaughters, Ellie and Abbie; her sister Dianne and her husband, Gary; her sister Denise; her sister Connie and her husband Dennis, and her sister-in-law, Gayle.  She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that were a part of her large extended family.

Twyla’s funeral will take place on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens.  Visitation will run from 12p-2p, service and burial to follow.  The service will have a limit of 70 people in the chapel and masks will be required.
