How sad to learn of the death of my Boston University roomie, sorority sister, and very good friend. Judy and I remained in touch for over fifty years and I eagerly anticipated our periodic visits. She always reflected the grace and gentle spirit that characterized her, along with a quick wit.
My husband Terry considered Judy a close friend as well. In 1992, she traveled to Maryland to attend his ordination - a gesture that meant so much to him.
The many, many memories of good times will serve to keep Judy alive in spirit, and for that I am grateful. May the perpetual light shine upon her and may she rest in peace.

What a lovely, sweet lady. I had the privilege of meeting Judy through my sister, Carol Tanner, who was Judy's dearest friend and confidant. We celebrated six wonderful New Year's Eve celebrations together, rotating houses and lake houses. Judy always insisted on Prime Rib when we were at her house, much to my sister's delight! Each year we managed to stay up past midnight with a lot of laughter, xbox golf and bowling games, great food, and cold champagne. You will be missed, Judy. Thanks for the memories.

Our friendship was short but I always enjoyed your smile. Books brought us together through the Hamilton Mill Library Book Club.

It is beyond sad, to think that a very bright light in this world was extinguished this past week. I am confident that there a lot of family and friends experiencing heart ache and already missing Judy’s presence.
Judy, was not only my cousin, she was my family, dear friend, confidant and teacher. She has been such an important part of my life, always there, willing to listen, offer sound advice, and to provide reassurance, support and occasional redirection if needed. She was loving, funny, kind and generous in many ways.
Judy certainly loved her family, her friends and life.
A bright light may have stopped shining, but the love, memories and the lessons imparted will live on.
With love and much sympathy,
Marilyn Jonson

What a shock to lose my good friend and former neighbor. We shared so many good times and memories living next door; they will never be forgotten. After moving from Hamilton Mill, we kept in constant contact and shared exercise together at Silver Sneakers. When we met at each others homes, she always enjoyed the way I prepared those Grey Goose martinis!
Judy is one of the finest ladies I have ever met. RIP dear friend, you will always be missed.

Judy came into our lives in 1997 as our dear Hamilton Mill neighbor. Although only five years there, we formed a bond and friendship the likes of we have with few. We had a rough accident in ‘99 which she helped get us and our boys thru. We were in her home not long ago to gather and enjoy laughs and love and a closeness you find with few. She loved her daughters, their husbands, and her grandchildren and brother with all her heart. We have heard many wonderful achievements in their lives, and seen photos of so much of her family. Rest In Peace dear one. We miss you terribly.

Met Judy a year ago and had instant chemistry as her humor and love for life emitted effortlessly. God blessed me with one on one 3 weeks ago with Judy and it was the best 3 hours I’ve had in quite awhile. Thank you Lord for sending Judy into my life and I lift the family up in prayer during this tumultuous time of grief.
