Obituary of Tony Teleaga

Please share a memory of Tony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Tony Teleaga, 55, of Lawrenceville, GA, died Saturday, October 31, 2020. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens.

Tony saw the sunlight for the first time on June 22, 1965, in Prilipet, Caras Severin, Romania.  He was Ioan and Domnica Teleaga’s first born, followed by his younger brother, John.  In the summer of 1982, together with his parents and his younger brother, Tony immigrated to the United States, San Leandro, California.  At a very young age, Tony and his brother, John, dedicated their lives to Jesus.  Tony and his family moved around quite a bit.  From California, his family moved to Kentucky where Tony finished his high school diploma.  In April 1986, the Teleaga family moved to Atlanta where they became part of the Baptist Church whose pastor was Martian Cocean.  Not long after, in 1990, Teleaga family moved to Florida where they became members of the Baptist Church of Hollywood, whose pastor was Ioan Brisc.  In June 1992, Tony got married and soon after, he became a father to his two beautiful daughters, Rebecca and Miriam, whom he loved very much.   In the summer of 1995, Tony decided to stabilize with his family in Atlanta.  His brother, John, followed him, started a business together, and remained close to each other ever since.

Tony was one of the first members of the Gwinnett Romanian Baptist Church, whose pastors were Matei Istudor and Pit Popovici.  He served as the church’s treasurer.

As a Christian, Tony liked to study the Bible.  He loved memorizing verses and Christian poems.  Tony had a golden, giving heart.  Always compassionate, those who knew him were blessed to find a loyal friend in Tony.  Fishing and hunting were his passions which helped him to also develop a high culinary ability.

Only one day before Tony became 55 years old, on June 21, 2020, he spent a wonderful day with his mother, his daughters, his brother, and close family.  It was such a beautiful day as if it were his last day in this world.  Unfortunately, it has been proven to be his last day indeed.  After midnight, Tony had a massive stroke from which he never recovered.  On October 31, 2020, at 3:45am, Lord called Tony home.  Tony left behind his loved ones, parents, daughters, and his beloved brother, John.

Although life was not always good to Tony, his character remained positive and filled with God’s peace, as true Christian model.   Tony left behind an empty space, but through God’s grace, it will be filled with His promise that we will meet again!

Tony, we will never forget you!  Until we meet again!
