Our sincere condolences to the beautiful Ballew family.
We had the privilege of meeting and getting to know “Papa” as we knew him.
He lead an interesting life and I consider myself very fortunate getting to hear the stories of his life. He had a gumption for life and lived to his passing feeling and knowing the love his family had for him. It was the example by which they carried on proudly the love he gave so many.
I know he was most proud of his son and daughter, and their families...especially his grand children and made sure they all knew the importance of their heritage through his genealogy and understanding of their family history.
I know he’s in the comfort of angels and we hope you find comfort and peace in the memories you all created.
Our love and sympathy

I knew Tom from our Connect Group at Hebron Baptist Church. I remember Tom as kind-hearted man who loved the Lord and his family so much. He really missed his wife Dot and spoke highly of her, usually with tears in his eyes. He often talked about his grandchildren and how he was working on the Ballew genealogy for them. He wanted them to know their heritage and all about the Ballew legacy. He was such a sweet, sweet man, kind to everyone he met. He will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him...I am grateful to have known him.
Sending Love and Prayers to his family.

For many years I haves loved hearing stories from my Uncle Tom about life growing up near Inman, SC. Particularly now that I have family living in Tryon, I think of Tom every time I walk past Harmon Field or see Hogback Mountain Road for I picture him playing in the creek during a family reunion or walking up the
Mountain with my father and PaPa.
I am thankful for the great life he was given. I will miss him.
