Obituary of Paul Froble
Paul Wesley Nichelson Froble
Paul Froble passed away suddenly at the age of 81, January 3, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Mount Pleasant, Pa on November 22, 1939. Son of the late Joseph Andrew Froble and Kathryn Phoebe Nichelson Froble.
Paul was raised in Scottdale, Pa and graduated from Scottdale High School in 1958. A student athlete and active member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was also an active member of the CYO and met his future wife, Therese Ann Morrocco.
After graduation, he enlisted in the USA Army completing his basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. After his tour in Korea, he returned to Scottdale to marry his high school sweet heart, Therese Ann Morrocco.
He continued to serve in the US Army stationed in Korea, Germany, & Vietnam. He earned a Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, a Campaign Medal, a National Defense Service Medal along with Good Conduct Medal (3 d Award).
Returning to civilian life, Paul continued to advance his computer skills working as a consultant for the US Government working on important projects for the US Army, DOD, Dept of Education and many others in addition to many corporations in the private industry. An entrepreneur in many businesses including owning a restaurant, financial services, tax and accounting services eagerly continuing his education and training.
Paul completed studies at the University of South Carolina, John Tyler Community College and many other programs.
Grounded in their Faith, Paul and Therese both valued raising a large family of five in the Catholic Church. Became CYO sponsors of the St John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville, SC for many years. Paul continued to play sports, coached football, and referred for basketball.
Sir Knight, Paul is a lifetime member of The Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree, Matre Dei Council 9774 associated with St Raphael’s Catholic Church in Rockville, MD. Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, Cardinal O’Boyle Assembly in Silver Spring, MD.
Paul is also a member of American Legion Post 127 in Buford, GA, Moose Lodge 1540 in Rockville, MD, Vietnam Veterans of America in Silver Spring, MD and St Monica’s Catholic Church in Duluth, GA.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph Andrew Froble and Kathryn Phoebe Nichelson Froble. His loving wife of 46 years, Theresa Ann Froble. Sister-in-law, Linda Knipple Froble. Survived by his siblings: David (Karen) Froble, Vanderbilt, PA, Daniel (Linda) Froble, Scottdale, PA, Veronica Price-Froble, Summerville, SC. His five children, Deborah Froble, Woodbine, MD, Lisa Froble, Rockville, Md, Pamela (Michael) Capo, Atlanta, Ga, Paula Batchelor, St Charles, MO, Richard (Anne) Froble, Edgewater, MD.
Grandchildren: Jennifer Wheeler, Tammy Berkhammer, Gina Dauberman, Christopher Dunlop, Allen Michael Capo, Ryan Capo, Cody Batchelor, Shane Batchelor, Phoebe Parrish, Braden Froble, Ava Froble, Ian Froble. Nine great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousin and his beloved poodle.
Funeral Mass with Military Honors will be held on Saturday January 9, 2021 at St Monica’s Catholic Church, Duluth Ga. Visitation 10am followed by Mass at 11am. Interment at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel & Gardens.
