Obituary of Lera Grace Groover

Lera Grace Groover, age 72, of Hoschton, GA, died Wednesday, December 18, 2002 after an extended illness. A funeral service was held Friday, December 20, 2002 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Charles Gilliland officiated. Interment followed at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth. The Family received friends on Thursday, December 19 from 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Eagle Ranch, P.O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502. Mrs. Groover was preceded in death by her Husband, James Groover. Surviving are: Daughter, Debbie Davenport, Hoschton; Son and Daughter In-law, John and Ann Groover, Alpharetta; Grandchildren, Sheridan Davenport and Ashley Groover; Brother and Sister In-law, David and Carol Ayers, Conyers; Sister In-law, Doris Akins, Conyers. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Groover was a native of Fort Valley, GA and a member of Columbia Drive Baptist Church, Decatur. She was retired from the Emory Health Care System and the Panoz Auto Development Company where she was an administrative assistant.
