I wasn't a friend of Shamiek. I'm not gonna pretend we were close or nothing. That'd be insulting. I remember growing up and he was around a lot of people in my friend groups. I just found out today after running into a mutual friend in a completely different state that he tragically passed away. That really hurts to hear as I know him personally.
He was a good guy, and regardless of the circumstances, I still remember him for the way he was. He honestly was a bright soul that was the life of the party. I offer his family my prayers, love, and condolences.
