Chet was a leader in our recent 50 year high school reunion, and was always a man who made good things happen. An excellent example of the kind of person he was is the fact that he moved into our small town as a junior in high school and was immediately accepted. Coach Jones' words show the deep friendship we felt for Chet. We all will greatly miss him. Our deepest sympathy to his wife and children.

Chet was wonderful to my husband and I when we were selling our business and there is no doubt that were not for his skill, ability and caring nature - we would not have sold to the right partner. He was like no other. Chet was an above and beyond person and really cared and loved what he did. It is a great loss. My best wishes to his family and his staff that obviously loved him. So sad to hear of Chet's passing. I only wish I could have made it to the last reunion... I should have tried harder. I remember 2011 when he called me for a cruise with his best friends, Benji and Richard. Chet wanted all of them to have the best accomodations for a great time, and they did...May we all find comfort in the gift of memory. Rest now, my friend...

John and Sara Jones of Chesterfield, SC are broken hearted with the sad news of Chet's passing. Since our meeting in 1959 in Greenville, NC. Chet has had a special place in our hearts. His coming to Bennettsville resulted in a reunion that resembled the closeness of "family." Chet contributed greatly to my success and happiness as a coach and teacher at Bennettsville High School. His many expressions of love and appreciation through the years have touch us deeply and we have applauded his accomplishments in life. Sara and I send our deepest love and sympathy to you, his family, of whom he was so proud. We join so many others who knew and loved him in saying that he has left us much too soon, but will always be remembered in a special way. May God bless you and give you the comfort of knowing that He cares that you are grieving. Love John and Sara Jones
