Lucky to have been a part of his life in the great subdivision of Country Hills. Mack played b-ball(basketball) in the backyard many evenings. We formed a great tandem beating many opponents all while having fun. He always made life fun. I've been blessed to have many father figures. He defiantly is on the short list of the best. RIP

Uncle Mack came to see Kelly play baseball 2 years ago when he was on the South Gwinnett High JV baseball team. We were playing against Duluth High. I am so glad we have that time with Uncle Mack and a memory my son will have with Mack.

I too played with Mack on a number of teams, and always was amazed how effortlessly he showed his skills with the bat and glove - and also with his sense of humor. He faced his illness with that quiet strength and good nature that was part of his fiber. He will be missed!

I played Softball for Mack when he managed a team, and I played with him on teams that he did not manage. Mack was steady and easy going, but competitive. He was fun to play for. Surely there is Baseball and Softball in Heaven, but if not, I know that you will start a team. Thanks for giving me the Opportunity to play for you. Fred Lockman

I played softball with Mack - we traveled to Utah, Tampa, Alabama, and many other places. Mack was the manager. Every now and then he would get upset and try to act mad. The guys on the team really liked and respected Mack. He was one of the few people I liked. We would talk on the phone at length about softball and world problems. I knew Mack was ill, but had no idea it was serious. Rest in peace my friend. Tell our buddy Jim hello when you see him in heaven. Your friend - Maurice (mo)

This past Wednesday night while playing softball, I watched as our first baseman dropped an easy throw. I then remembered playing shortstop years ago when Mack and I were on the same team. He was a great manager. He played first base then, and he was the best first baseman ever. Any time I was lucky enough to get the ball in my glove, I know Mack would make the catch at the other end for an out. Cannot believe I was just thinking of him! When he use to play the outfield against me, he knew exactly where I would hit the ball every time. He positioned himself perfectly and always, I mean ALWAYS turned what would have been a sure double into a sure out. Even now, when I look out towards left field, I can see him cheating toward the line. And, when I pitched against him, he always doubled to right field. I mean this guy could hit! I tried to pattern myself after him, but no one could come close to his style and confidence. I will remember him fondly, as he is one of the reasons I stayed with the league for the past 12 years. A great leader. A great man. Just wish I had the chance to tell him in person what he meant to me - to all of us. God bless you, my friend. - Ron Geraneo
