Mike so enjoyed returning there to reunions and seeing his friends from his High School and College days and sharing those wonderful memories. He had lived in the Atlanta area for the past 35 years. He was in Sales and Management most of his working life and owned his own business for the last several years before retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis before his health declined and was very involved in playing and attending golf tournaments throughout his active years. He was an active member of ALTA for several years and played and won in many competitions. He and Robbie enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada and especially to visit the children and grandchildren in Tennessee. Their favorite thing to do was to meet the family at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo to share a meal in the area and bring the grandchildren home with them for a visit. They also enjoyed many trips to Florida to their favorite Beach spots at Pass-a-grille near St. Pete. For the last few years he was part of a group of friends that met for Breakfast each morning for conversation and sharing memories over a cup of coffee. Through that activity he developed a close brotherly friendship with his next door neighbor, Jimmy Stripling. Visitation for Michael will be on Saturday, April 12th from 1 to 3 PM at the Hamilton Mill Funeral Home and the Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel.
