So sad to hear of Barry "Captain Slick" Vaughn's passing on. I spent quite a few hours at his side winging over the coastal waterways in planes and helicopters. I think of him very often and virtually every time I see a Bell Jet Ranger helicopter and I will cherish his memory. Godspeed DNR-032 on your final approach into heaven...Pat's waiting by the fuel truck as soon as you nail the landing and the turbine winds down and the rotors stop turning!

Barry was one of my favorite people and a great pilot. I first met Barry in 1986 when I went to work as a pilot with Ga. DNR...A few years later I ended up being Barry's "boss".. but Barry did not need ANY supervision with his job as a pilot with DNR :). I was happy he was willing to share HIS knowledge with me.. I always enjoyed my time with Barry both on the ground and in the Air. A great pilot, a genuine nice person, Always talked of his family. Rest in Peace Barry. You will be missed.
Barry was a great friend , fraternity brother and enjoyer of life. I know he is at peace and enjoying being with his love for life sweet Pat. Blessing to his family.
