I knew Wade for over 20 years. When I moved back to Georgia
after living in Seattle for 25 years I needed employment.
My background was in Aircraft Inspection and Neon Design.
I applied at Advanced Wood Products in Buford and was hired with little to no commercial wood-working experience.
Wade was assigned to teach me the business. We became
very close friends.
Even though I was raised in Doraville and graduated High School in Winder he would always call me "Yankee".
I rediscovered my Georgia roots with Wade. Places to eat,
camp, and most of all every fishing hole from Lanier to Coopers Creek. No matter how early we would leave to go fishing we were always a little late because it seemed every store or bait shop we walked into he would know someone to have a lengthy conversation with as I would impatiently
wait to hit the road again.
I miss my friend. I wish he would call me again at 3 in the morning to tell me to listen to O'neil Outdoors, or call me and tell me what he cooked for dinner with a mile long list
of every ingredient and how it was prepared.
Being a lifelong Yellow Jacket and him a Bulldog fan, we bet each other $10 dollars on the Georgia/Alabama game the day he passed. That is just one of many debts I owe you Brother.
Peace
Greg McDonald
