I will never again hear my entire name been called over the loud speaker on a netball court. I am sad that you have gone in your eternal rest but I cherish the memories you have left behind. I will keep your words of wisdom close and your challenge always ahead of me. Sleep on my friend and coach.

Kunkell brought out the best in me as my netball coach many years ago. He was always very positive, gave tough love but praised our team to the same magnitude when we did well. I was overjoyed when I had the opportunity to sit, chat and laugh with him and a few others over a meal just last November 28th, after many years of communicating with him only on socal media. It was a wonderful evening. Kunkell was as cheerful as ever. We reminisced about our netball days, cooking and other topics. I just can't believe he has left us. Rest in peace my brother...I will always love you and remember the wonderful, kind and loving soul you were and your dedication to our beloved sport, netball. God knows best and I pray that God will help us all to heal. I pray for strength for Kunkell's immediate family.

Having met Kunkell ONCE and until today, remember him, speaks volume. I was asked by my friend Natalie Moodie, if I remembered Kunkell. My question was, ,"Who, the loud, happy man that played netball?" She responded yes and then conveyed the sad news of his passing. I was shocked because someone like Kunkell who loved life so much, to me, should live. He loved happiness and that's what we all should strive to be, happy. He allowed nothing to confuse his thoughts/life and for every negative situation that he encountered he steered away from it with positivity. He loved to laugh; his laughter vibrated and echoed and whenever he laughed, you too had to laugh.
God is God and He knows what He is doing. I say to the family and his friends, weep if you must but remember the impact Kunkell had on you. Remember what he did for and how he treated you. Let his memory be a treasure in your hearts and always pull strength from that treasure.
Sweet sleep Kunkell.

My heart is broken. Kunkell was all you all have said and more. He did Americas Netball postings on our Facebook page: He enthusiastically supported our AFNA Day Launch: He opened all our Governance webinars with prayer. He was our resident pastor an unofficial title he wore proudly. He wanted to be a part of this netball journey and prayerfully supported me and our programs with 2 or 3 motivational messages every day. He understood Charity, Love and unselfishly donated his time his effort and his talent to our sport. The day he passed away, I only got 1 devotional message and thought it strange. He loved Netball and wanted to see the USA United and on top. Let’s honor his memory. I will miss his sense of humor, his words of wisdom in the words of his granny. We laughed hard we worked hard and already I’m missing my daily devotionals. Rest In Eternal Peace my friend. I will follow your instructions “ nuh pay them nuh mind, the devil is at work, keep you eye on the road, you hands on the wheel and don’t take your foot off the gas Madam President “. Drive straight to your destination. God has your back and so do I”.

Kunkell was a dear friend to me as he told me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear. I will miss the uncontrollable laughter over silly things, the Tuesday and Friday morning devotions/Bible studies and his advices. He taught me that it is better to be at peace than to be right..that is serving me well! To his family and friends, I share in your loss but we must ensure that we all meet again some sweet day.

I remember the first day we met in Florida at World Male netball championship in 2015. We spoke on the phone 3 to 4 times a days ever since. You were all smiles, always happy.
This I must say is hard to understand.
Here I am, sitting all alone, not knowing what to do with my day. Kunkell was my drive company to and from work. He was never to busy to take my phone calls. He use the tell me that if someone show you who they are you better believe and I must say Kunkell was a true friend.
Kunkell was a damsel, an angel, a shining light, a sun at noon and a star at night,
Kunkell was the voice of truth and reasoning, a beautiful soul, a golden ray.
Kunkell always told me that I was lucky. He always told me “Paul, I don’t know how you do it but the have the patience of Jobe”.
My heart is aching from trying to comprehend that you no longer around to share your daily plans, event and challenges.
How a being so sweet can have a tragic end.
I’ll love you forever till the world’s end.
RIP Kunkell.
Please say hello to Blanche, Rose, Sophia, and Dorothy for me.

My deepest sympathy to his family.
It was an honor to have met Kunkell through our common love for Netball many years ago. Our similar goals to do everything we could to help with the development and growth of the sport in the USA glued us together. He supported me with my endeavors and proved to be someone I could rely on and trust. He always had my back and I am saddened that he is no longer available to continue to do so. He has left a void that no one can refill. But I do understand that it was his time to go. I have lost a devoted bosom friend. He did not get to say goodbye. But I know he transitioned to be with the Lord and is now resting and at peace. He will be truly missed.

My condolences to the bereaved family. Kunkell coached Ochi Strikers in tOcho rios, Jamaica back in the day I was a team member and played center. Talk about a disciplinarian! He was Always ontime and he knew how to get the best out of us netballers at training and in games. His quick quips, his comical expressions & sharp tongue was his trademark . We loved him and admired his undaunting dedication to the game of netball . He will forever be remembered. Kunkell was afraid of noone he would speak his mind & cared zero if you want vex just know that come.next time he sees you he will be greeting you smiling and friendly as usual as if nothing happened. He garnered my respect over the years , he was a good coach and a leader who led by example, he made each training night something to look forward to.. Sleep on my friend may your soul rest in peace.
