Obituary of Svetlana Mikheyeva

Svetlana Mikheyeva, 63, of Buford, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from stage 4 cancer surrounded by her loving family.

Svetlana lived her life to the fullest potential. She always taught us to dream BIG! This is something we learned from her from an early age. She inspired us to be who we are today. Her son Elijah followed in her footsteps and became a history teacher like her. Her passion for sharing knowledge was something that made her truly unique.

Her love for God was something else that defined her when she turned 30. At 30 years of age, my mom became a Christian in the Soviet Union. For the next 30-plus years, she went on to raise her eight children with Christian values and principles.

Today, her greatest legacy left on earth are her eight beautiful children and one grandchild. She made sure to have her faith play an important role in their lives. Now, she is at last reunited with her beloved husband of 40+ years.

The Mikheyev family welcomes all friends and family for a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. An after-service meal will be held at Asia Grill & Buffet, 3843 Buford Dr., Buford, GA 30519, following the service from 3 – 6 PM.

The colors for the funeral flowers are pink and white (mom's favorite colors). Please make sure you put in your order before Friday the 29^th.
