Obituary of Teresa Runckel

Teresa Battung Runckel, 55, of Buford, GA, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, George Charles Battung, Jr. and mother Alice Frances Battung; brother, George Charles Battung, III. She is survivied by her husband of 21 years, Jonathan David Runckel, of Buford, GA; son, David Alexander Runckel; sisters, Elizabeth Wolfe and Barbara Jeanne Battung-Grubbs; brother, Orville Larrance; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Teresa was born and raised in Southern California but has made Buford, GA her home over the last 20 years. Despite having difficult health struggles for many years, Teresa lived life to the fullest and always had an infectious smile on her face.

A future Celebration of Life will be held in California in the coming months for her family and friends there.
