Obituary of Gary Wayne Gill

Gary Wayne Gill, 64 of Georgia, formerly of Arab, Scant City area died Monday, November 11, 2013 at his residence in Georgia. Mr. Gill was born August 13, 1949 in Guntersville, the son of Leon O. and Margaret E. Bright Gill. He was a 1968 graduate of Arab High School and also a college graduate. He grew up in the Scant City Community and moved to Texas; later moving to Georgia where he has lived for the past several years. He was a retired machinist for Houston Power. He is survived by his mother: Elaine Blackmon of Arab; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Diana and Joe Kinard, Connie Gill and Robin Gill all of Georgia; two nieces and spouses: Brooke and Joe Screws and Erin and Tim McIntyre; great nephews: Owen McIntyre, Evan McIntyre; great nieces: Olivia Screws and Emma McIntyre; preceded in death by his father: Leon Gill. Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, 1340 North Main Street, Arab, AL 35016 , Brother James Dudley, officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery (Scant City Community) Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be Kenny Blackmon, Randy Blackmon, David Coker, Gary Jordan, Joe Kinard, Chase Maze, Joey Screws and Steve Thomas.
