My sincere condolences to Frank's family, a blind google search of my old Beloit colleagues today brought me this very sad news. Although I haven't seen Frank in many years, whenever I thought of my Beloit days Frank was one of the first people to come to mind.
I met Frank working on a large project in Indonesia, spent many days on site drinking espresso from his machine at the site office. I remember him for his pleasant, calm, positive demeanor. He was a pleasure to spend time and a positive professional influence on me. The thought that he is no longer of this earth will now be the first thing I think of when I reminisce about Beloit.

I first met Frank at Beloit Corporation a long time ago. I arranged his travel. I still was arranging his travel until he passed away. We had many discussions through the years about art museums and places to go and what to see at the many locations of first Beloit Corp, then Valmet, then Metso and finally Valmet again. I last saw Frank 16 years ago, but we spoke so often that I felt like I knew him better than some friends I see every day. He had such a compassion for others. He did speak of his daughters all the time and always was in such a great mood when it was time for a trip to Dallas. His passing has left a huge hole in my heart. My condolences to Frank's daughters and grandchildren, sister and dad.

Frank was a dear and long time friend and colleague of mine. Reading the messages below you get a very accurate summation of his connection to his family, friends and colleagues. And I can verify, when Frank spoke of his girls and his grand children, he would light up and you could feel the love. I always called him a Renaissance Man because of his remarkable pool of knowledge on a vast range of topics. I have my precious memories of past adventures with Frank and I will cherish those. Frank is one of the best human beings I know. I send my Heartfelt Sympathies to Franks Family. He rests in peace...

Steve and I are at a loss for words but I will try to share how Frank made a difference in our lives. The first time I met Frank was when he invited us to his home to meet his family, before we moved to NC, so that we would have "a family" out there.
Frank always thought of others before himself, he made you feel accepted, no matter your status in life. Our family enjoyed getting to know Frank more while we lived in Suwanee Ga, and his family was in NC. We shared many dinners where we would enjoy conversations about gardening, books and authors we had in common, movies, and his relationship with his girls Jenny, and Emily. He loved them so very much, and was so proud of them! I remember calling Frank about math problems, he was such a good teacher, and could make you understand how to do what i'm sure to him was the easiest problem, but he didn't make you feel stupid because you didn't "get it". Frank was a great guy, he made a difference in our lives, and he will be greatly missed.

Frank has been at times to me, a boss, a mentor, and at all times a great friend! I have known Frank from the time he was my boss at Beloit Corporation. We both made the move to Charlotte NC, where Frank made my family and me feel like a part of his family. We then moved to Norcross Ga together. We enjoyed having him for family dinners, while he lived in Ga and they were in NC. Frank and I shared many things in common. We were able to enjoy a Nascar race together, and some car shows. We liked sharing the same interests of cars, computers, music , audio technology, but most importantly sharing about our families. Frank was so proud of Jenny, and Emily, and his grandchildren. He was such a good, kind, and gentle soul and he will be greatly missed.

Frank was a like a family member to me. He was my husband's best friend and he would come to visit us and spend many weekends with us. We share so many happy moments, we could talk for hours and never get bored. These memories will stay in my heart.
He was a loyal, caring and loving person and I will miss Frank.

Frank was my closest friend for many years. We shared passion on technology, high speed with jetskis and fishing. With him we almost never cought any fish, but the conversations we had on while floating sometimes in hot Georgia day, sometimes freezing morning, were priceless. While we shared our thoughts, fears and dreams occasionally Frank threw a very inellectual twist and we both laughed until tears were coming out. I will always remember his laughter .
How Frank talked about his children, grand children and his family up north was with lots love and showed that he was really caring fulhartedly on people he love. During past year or so he had more opportunities to see his family, which meant a lot to him.
I dearly miss my best friend.
Jyrki.

Frank was one of my first mentors when I started at Beloit Corporation in 1987. I was always impressed with his depth and breadth of technical knowledge with machinery. He was always willing to help solve problems, and did so with positivity and humor. Frank was very personable, and was a friend to me. I will miss him. I pray for his family and their loss.

Frank was a dear friend and of great help to me from the first time I met him when I was very new at the company. He always offered great advise and without fail was available to help me. I was always impressed not just with his technical knowledge but how he interfaced with customers and business associates like myself. Always helpful and supportive and perhaps as important to me personally always fun to work with. One thing I could always count on, no matter how difficult the challenge, was how calm and positive his determination to solve the challenge. It was inspiring and continues to inspire me every time I think of him. God bless all of his family in this difficult time.

Frank will be missed by many. He always had the time to speak with people and provide assistance where needed. Intelligent, well spoken, soft spoken and always appeared to be at peace with himself. Those characteristics are hard to find in one person. Our prayers are with the Swietlik Family during this time of loss. Steve Bates (Lynchburg, VA).
