Obituary of Robert A. Smith

Robert A. Smith, age 67, of Norcross, died Monday, September 30, 2002 after an extended illness. A funeral service was held Thursday, October 3, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Bob Moore officiated. Interment followed at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, Georgia. The Family received friends on Tuesday, October 1 and Wednesday, October 2 from 11:00 A. M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Smith is survived by: Children; Ronnie D. and Teri Smith, Grayson, Wanda G. Herron and Harry Montgomery, Commerce, Christy A. and Mike Hambrick, Buford; 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren; Brothers, Charles R. Smith, Lawrenceville, Maurice I. Smith, CA; Sister, Carolyn S. Buckels, Cumming. Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mr. Smith was a native of Habersham County and lived all of his life in the area. He was a veteran of the US Navy, a member of the FOE # 714. He was self employed as a Barber and of the Baptist Faith.
