Arthur W. "Rock" Portwood, age 58 of Hoschton, GA died Thursday, March 28, 2013 following a sudden illness. Mr. Portwood has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Mr. Jim Lehman will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 2-3 PM at the funeral home. Rock is survived by his partner Michael Edney, Hoschton, GA. Brother, Devin Portwood and wife Penny of Newnan, GA. Sister, Susan Lehman and husband Jim, Aylett, VA. Nephews, Lee Dixon, Midlothian, VA, Matthew Dixon and wife Traci, Savannah, GA, Tripp Lehman and wife Jennifer, Keswick, VA, Greg Lehman and wife Terri, Mechanicsville, VA. Niece, Jessica Sagraves and husband Rick, Aylett, VA. Friends, Billy Samples, Cumming, GA and Lisa Edney, Birmingham, AL. His beloved pets, Bella, Cullen, and Caesar. Rock was a native of Knoxville, TN and had lived in the Atlanta area the past 48 years. He was also employed as an instructor with the Georgia Institute of Cosmetology.
