Wyatt,
We sat next to each other in Ms. Miles's Pre Calc class.... we became friends and I would tell you about India and how Indian I am! Once you told me, you want to visit India :P
I remember all of those jokes we had, and the things you drew in my text book AND notes! I loved the jokes we had this year, again in Ms. Miles's Calc class! and our little Triangle with Lexys, you and me, and making fun of Jonathan! I loved our Spanish/Colombian restaurant and our little skits in Spanish class.... remember the "adopting a baby from India" skit!!!
Thanks for being such a great friend... I will miss you everyday!
Thank you for all the memories
Rest in peace.... I will miss you BUDDY....

Wyatt- I remember it was in the first few weeks of school that I met you. I got on the bus late, and the only seat left open was next to you. You can only imagine me, a freshman still trying to get over her fear of meeting new people. Let me just say, that bus ride could have been very quiet and awkward. It was fun, interesting, and hilarious though. You showed me the video game you were designing with your friends, and you shared your life with me. I told you about myself, and that day was the day I met one of the coolest guys I ever knew. We had a lot of the same interests, and I think you taught me that day and from then on not to be so afraid, to share a little of yourself and see what you get in return. You were a great guy and I will never forget all the good times we had on the bus, all the things you shared with me, and all the smiles we exchanged in the hallways. I can't claim to be exceptionally close with you, but the loss of you struck something deep deep down in me. That Thursday, as I sat in math half listening to the announcements, I saw Dr. Mathews face and knew something was wrong. You would have never believed how united we were in that moment, how people that never knew you cried for you, and how over 600 of us felt your loss so strongly that it was a real, tangible thing that hung in the air. I just never thought that it would be you. I think that in that moment, the little part of my heart that you occupied hurt like no pain I have ever experienced before. Losing you was like nothing else. But I know that now you are so free, so exceptionally free and I know that you are looking down on us all. Wyatt, my heart goes with you, and you will always be in my mind and in my heart.
Love,
Polly Ouellette

Wyatt,
I cant help but smile when I think about you. You are just such a joker. I remember all the Spanish projects we had together and all the times we were on the headsets and how funny it was that we both SUCKED at Spanish and your Spanish name was "Heraldo" and I just couldn't bring myself to call you that. I remember you talking so softly and gently to me all the time and I told you that I could handle some rudeness every now and then lol. But all I ever got were kind words and smiles with the kid with the best smile and dimples I have ever seen. You told me you never rode a subway and I smacked your arm and said that I would take you on a trip to a subway somewhere so you could experience it before we graduated. We are still going to do that. Im going to go to a subway and ride around all day with you in my heart and mind. I will bury a piece of my heart with you and I will forever think about how much an impact kindness has. I saw this when I witnessed the lives of 600 people halt for a day to mourn the loss of a kind sweet gentle handsome young man. My life stopped that Thursday morning when I found out and it will never be the same again. I will never fully understand but what I do know is that Wyatt Lanier will be the name sealed in my heart and December 5th 2012 will be the first day of the rest of my life as a loving and carefree soul all thanks to you. I love you and I will always remember you. I cant wait to see you again and have you teach me how to hunt and fish cause we both know im not learning by myself. Rest in Peace Wyatt and sour the sky to your hearts content.
Love, Elizabeth Salimonu

As a parent, I was always impressed with Wyatt's respect towards the adult and his kindness to children younger than him. He never failed to wave as he worked his lawn service business in our neighborhood during the summer. He introduced my sons to air soft play and both of them enjoyed his friendship. My heart is sad with the news of his passing. My sons are with very heavy hearts at the loss of his friendship. Please know that our prayers are and will be with the family and may Eternal Rest Be Granted unto Him, may God's perpetual light shine upon him and May His soul and the souls of all the Faithful Departed, through the Mercy of God....Rest In Peace. + Amen +.

Wyatt, I'm not even sure what I can say that could tell everyone how great a friend you were to me. I still remember the first time I got on my xbox you said "Hey buddy" and we've been saying it ever since. Our thousands of inside jokes that always made me smile and laugh, I don't think a day went by where we didn't laugh at each other and with each other. I think I'm going to miss your laugh a lot, even though you hated it, it always brought a smile to my face. I know you're in a better place and I hope you're waiting up there for me with an Xbox controller ready to go. I'm glad I got to share so much time with you. I love you man, I always have.

I send out my prayers to Wyatt's family and everyone else who loved him. I wish I could hold you one last time, kiss you one last time, or even see you smile one last time. I remember when you first asked me out on Gmail and you asked me for my number and I responded back: rly? Wyatt Lanier: duhh. I was so glad too that you asked me out because I wouldn't have known what a sweet and nice person you were and to everyone who knew you. I still don't know how you managed to put up with my complaining and my mood swings. You were truly one of the only people that made me happy. Sadly, I lost part of my happiness and can't but cry (even though you didn't like it when I was sad). I know you would want me to move on so I will but now I have to mourn for the lots of the love of my life and my best friend. All I have left is this stuffed rabbit that you gave me for Christmas. :) I will always keep it and I will never forget you. BTW YES! I will go to prom with you! You will always be with me in spirit. I love you Wyatt and I know you will be waiting for us in heaven. ? We all miss you.
