Such a kind man. We knew him from the Bike Shop in Cutler Ridge Mall. Bought all my kids bikes there as they grew up. He always made us feel like a close friend. He will be missed. Prayers for his family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Mr. Broadley briefly at the neighborhood yard sale a year ago and he made an impact on me in just those few moments. He was so kind and freely offered his advice and offered future advice should I need it about trying to get my daughter over her bike fears. My prayers are with y'all.

I do not know where to start. Every bike that I bought in the last 20 years was from Bob. I even bought a bike from his Georgia store for my youngest son. It was amazing seeing his new store, he had the same care for the community as he did in Miami. Bob and I would always trade work out at my shop for bicycles. He was so proud of his son Ricky with his Monte Carlo. Bob, you were simply the nicest, kindest and most gentle man I ever met. I am heartbroken to hear this news. To the entire Broadley family I pray that you will turn to each other and the many many friends that Bob has. Bob, I was proud to know you.

How do you really say how much of an influence Bob was to so many young
people in the sport of BMX. Both of our sons were part of the BB Racing
Team. Our oldest son, Karl, worked at Knight Bikes along with Gabe
DeFeo, Chris Johnson and the many others who were given that opportunity.
The stories that they would come home with will long be a part of their memories of BMX. The Christmas parties at the shop as bikes were hurriedly, but expertly put together so that each child who expected their BMX bike on Christmas morning would not be disappointed. The devoted time that Bob gave to the new beginner BMX rider, the encouragment of being asked to be on a team. A team that anyone could belong to and be excepted at. That is what Bob offered. The encouragment he gave those young riders would be a stepping stone to the type of person they would become. The stories told by gate man, Joe Bazinet, of Bob showing up at the old YMCA track with kids climbing out of his van like clowns climbing out of their silly car at the circus. What a site it was to see. One way or the other Bob would make sure that those kids would have a chance to be a part of the BMX family. These memories were given to all who walked through the door of Knight Bikes and into the heart of Bob Broadley. May you rest in peace in God's home and may your family be comforted by so many who sing the praise of this man who played such an important part in the lives of their children. To those parents whose children considered Homestead Pioneer Park, Boystown and Pine Ridge BMX their home track, when you lay your head to rest tonight remember to thank God for letting Bob be a part of your son's and daugher's life. To Diane, Ricky and Cindy may God
hold you in his hands and comfort you in your loss.

I met Bob for the first time when I was 5 years old (that I can remember). My family was big into BMX and my older brother worked at the shop building bikes, so I was a regular in the shop. By the time I turned 7 Bob sponsored me and put a HUGE pinkish B&B racing logo on the butt of my racing pants. It was with his sponsorship and mentorship that I became #1 in the state for the 8 year old expert group. The B&B racing team dominated all age groups for a long time. Bob's influence on BMX in South Florida was and still is a large part of this sport. Bob, I will never forget these childhood memories and I will never forget you... Thank you, and Rest in Peace

Bob was a huge part of my life, I met Bob when I was around the age of 7, when I started racing BMX. Later when I was teenager I started working for Bob at the bike shop. I had the best, coolest job a teenager could ever have. Not only was it the coolest job it was a ton of fun, goofn' off with Bob around the shop. We did do some work,
especially around Christmas time, long nights of building bikes. I think the fondest memories I have of Bob were riding in the van to go pick up bikes. Bob was kind of a carefree driver and was always a bit distracted. I owe a lot to Bob, the skills I learned in the shop have carried me though my life. Bob you will never be forgotten and will always be missed.

I wanted to share some of the wonderful memories I have of growing up in Cutler Ridge with Bob. I remember going on Friday with my mom and sisters to the yellow Igloo called Zip's Ice Cream and having pizza and then a make your own sundae. Then when it changed to the Polar Palace for more Ice Cream. Then over to Moped South and being in the BMX racing. Bob always had the coolest stuff and top of the line bikes. He was always there for me and he was even a secret Santa for one of my sister's sons with a new bike one Christmas. I would like to let his wife and kids know they are in our prayers. He was a good man and will be missed.

Bob had a love of kids like no one else. He encouraged the kids that raced BMX and put kids on his team that were not the fastest..but he knew how much it meant to be on a team. He was a supporter of the two tracks we had Pineridge BMX & Homestead. He donated many items for raffles. Anyone that came into Moped South (later Knight Bikes) to buy a BMX bike he would tell about the tracks..practice nights and race nights. I was shocked and sad to learn of our loss of this fantastic man. My families prayers go out to Diane, Ricky & Cindy. There is a new angel in Haven tonight.
